San Diego, Cal. (SatireWire.com) – Online music distributor MP3.com joined Microsoft yesterday as the only high technology companies to win the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Bar Association.
“In the short history of the Internet, few companies have contributed more to the livelihood of attorneys than MP3.com,” said A.B.A. President Keillor Harvey as he handed the award, a silver-plated subpoena, to MP3 founder Michael Robertson.
According to Harvey, an estimated 27 percent of American lawyers are now involved in copyright infringement or shareholder class action lawsuits against the San Diego-based music site.
