PARALLEL UNIVERSE RUNNING OUT OF VALUABLE .MOCS
Cambridge, England (SatireWire.moc) — According to a report by theoretical physicists at Cambridge University, nearly 90 percent of the common words in the Parallel Universe are already attached to the popular .moc domain, creating a shortage that threatens the alleged anti-universe's booming tenretnI.
In the theoretical Parallel Universe, which scientists speculate exists on the other side of black holes, and which would hypothetically mirror our Universe, common words such as "yub" and "pohs" have probably long been in use by e-commerce companies, while domains such as ssenisub.moc have no doubt sold for millions of dollars, the report postulated. But even complex and esoteric words presumably have been snatched up, making it difficult for new companies to get their names on a prized .moc address.
While several corporations and tenretnI groups have likely been pushing for new domain name suffixes, such as .bew, and .xxx, (for onrop sites), the physicists warn that .moc has almost certainly become the defacto standard, and any attempt to add more must happen soon before the situation grows worse.
"We suspect the shortage is really quite serious and something should be done," said lead theoretical physicist Alexi Ulanov. "All along, they've presumably had .ten and .gro domains, but they are still not sought after like .moc."
"I'm sure it's something the entire tod-moc industry is concerned about," added Ulanov, who noted that since April, tod-mocs have been in a tailspin, with several firms laying off staff and even going out of business. That could ease things a bit, as, some popular .moc names could come onto the market.
